Making "Green's Chocolate Gooey Buns"

I came across these in my local supermarket and thought they looked amazing.
I've never made a muffin like this before where it has all its flavour in the centre on the muffin itself.  Let alone it being a chocolate gooey sauce!
(I usually stick to the plain, simple somewhat boring option)
I read the back and it sounded fairly easy and fun to recreate so i thought id give it ago and do this blog post on what i thought and how it turned out.

The packet contains: Bun mix, Chocolate sauce & 6 bun cases.
All you will need is: 1 Medium egg and 100mls of cold water.
                 1. Before you start you need to Pre-heat your oven to 200 degrees C (170 degrees C for a fan oven), 400 degrees F, Gas mark 6.

2. Place the bun mix into a mixing bowl, add the egg and 100mls (approximately 7 tablespoons) of cold water.
3. Stir together with a wooden spoon until the mixture is moistened.
4. Place the six bun cases provided into a muffin tray. (you may find it better using a slightly bigger one than i did however once the mixture was in the cases they did sit nicely in the tray)
5. You then need to divide approximately 2/3rds of the bun mix between the 6 bun cases making sure you save some of the bun mix to use later on.
6. using the chocolate sauce provided for you within the packet carefully snip of the corner of the sachet and place equal amounts of the filling into the centre of each bun. Try and get the sauce right in the middle to avoid any sauce oozing out the sides of the bun when they're in the oven.
7.  Using the remaining bun mix top up each bun ensuring the chocolate sauce is covered.
8. Place the tray in the centre of the oven and bake for 20/25 minutes. (the box said 25 minutes but mine took 20 minutes so keep an eye on them)
9. Remove from the oven and allow them to cool on a wire rack or just a standard plate.  make sure you're careful when handling the hot buns as the chocolate sauce can burn if oozing out like a couple of mine were.
10. Once the buns are cooled down you can sit back and enjoy a delicious vanilla cake with gooey chocolate sause.
Yummy.
I found these really fun to make.
Very easy and my gosh they're delicious!
The cake itself has a lovely light and fluffy texture and the gooey chocolate sauce really does ooze out. Absolutely delicious and for less than £2 they're a right bargain and a lot of fun.
(My only criticism would be with the chocolate sauce. I thought it was going to have a melted milk chocolate kind of texture where as it tasted more like a sauce you'd put on top of ice cream.)

This is my first go at a cooking sort of blog post.
Completely out of my comfort zone but i have enjoyed it. If you'd like to see more of these types of post then please leave a comment down below with suggestions on what i can make next.
Also, if any of you have tried out these chocolate gooey buns for yourself..
What did you think of them? Would you make them again?

Miss Tilly xo
