Why I love Autumn/Winter

For those who know me will know that i LOVE Autumn and Winter yet no one can never seem to quite understand why i much prefer that to the Summer. So, as Summer is coming to a graceful end and i am very excited to see Autumn and Winter come round that beautiful corner i thought i would take this opportunity to explain exactly why i love Autumn and Winter and why i can not wait.

I feel that probably one of the worst things about summer for me is the constant feeling of being hot, sticky, sweaty and smelly. I mean come on. Who likes the feeling of any of them?! I always get so conscious that i smell like a sewer. Here in the UK Summer is always has such an uncomfortable heat. It's so humid and i absolutely hate it. Its nothing like the heat you experience when you go away on holiday. At least in the colder seasons you feel refreshed from the cold air and don't get all flustered if you need to take a little walk to the shop just for some milk.
I'd rather go for a lovely walk in the wind, rain and snow than i would on a Summers evening.
Something else that i struggle with in Summer is the fashion. A daily struggle of mine is what to wear. Not just during summer but during every season (most girls will agree with me on this one) but in Summer the struggle just feels even more real. I love wearing dresses as much as the next girl but i personally find it quite hard to look and feel casual in a dress. Trying to find a nice pair of shorts these days is even harder than it should be. For some reason short shorts that completely expose your butt cheeks are apparently a big hit which means that's pretty much all you can ever find. Why? Just why?
Autumn/Winter fashion is so much more flattering and theres so much more you can do with an outfit. Even if its something simple like layering. You could wear the smiliest outfit but by layering that outfit and adding statement jewellery or even a dark lip and black nails it makes you and your outfit look like you have put so much more effort into what you're wearing and what you look like.
Comfort is key and these two seasons really can give you that.
Just because its cold outside doesn't mean you have to feel cold.
Theres so many more options which are flatter for both casual and dressy looks.
